In the Orthodox orphanage "Pokrov" was held a charity holiday "Angel Day", dedicated to the Children's Day.
On June 1, representatives of the Runway charitable foundation congratulated orphans on Children's Day. Every year the foundation, headed by Yelena Chernovskaya, a member of the United Russia party, gives children a holiday called Angel Day, sets the tables with delicious treats, and organizes a big concert with the participation of young artists.
43 children live and study at the Pokrov orphanage, all of them are social orphans, whose parents are not able to raise their children. The institution is non-governmental, organized at the Temple, by Archpriest Vitaly Tkachev, exists only on donations from parishioners. As you know, during self-isolation, churches are closed, so it is especially difficult for the orphanage to make ends meet at this time. Therefore, it was decided that this year "Angel Day" will take place in the "Pokrov" shelter. On June 1, the guys gathered in the living room in front of the TV screen. The Foundation, together with the party members, prepared an online concert with the participation of large and small artists, where each addressed a personal greeting to the “patrons”. And local businessmen handed over sweet gifts for tea drinking.
