On Children's Day, First Deputy Chairman of the Combat Brotherhood movement Dmitry Sablin handed over gifts to the Orthodox children's social rehabilitation center Pokrov in New Moscow.
Medical masks, food, fruits and children's books were brought to the orphanage, which became a family for 40 children from different regions of Russia.
“Children need our protection and care every day. It is up to us adults to make their lives happy and safe. This is the future of Russia. It depends on us what kind of people we raise, what they will be able to achieve, what they will believe in, what they will serve. We, parents, do everything for our children. And it is very important that our human warmth also suffices for children deprived of parental care,”said Dmitry Sablin, deputy of the State Duma, first deputy chairman of the“Combat Brotherhood”.
The head and confessor of the rehabilitation center, Archpriest Vitaly Tkachev, spoke about the life of the orphanage, the study and upbringing of his wards, the youngest of whom is all three years old.
The orphanage has been operating since 2006, its first graduates have already received an education and are raising their children.
