The Khabarovsk regional center for psychological, pedagogical, medical and social assistance to children has celebrated a housewarming, according to the news agency "Khabarovsk Krai Today". The building, which has been under construction for a total of eight years next to the Seraphim of Sarov Church, is ready for the children to move there.
“This is a real palace,” says the director of the center, Alexander Petrynin. - A staircase from the Catherine's era leads to the second floor - gold, turquoise, snow-white pilasters. All these are the colors of the Hermitage. Expensive Chinese vase, luxurious candelabra, curtains, on each floor they are different - in the color of the lamps, crystal chandeliers. The original library, the design of which we spied on in Finland. And, of course, its own home church.
They have a boyar refectory, long tables, stylized lanterns, hand-made wall decorations. All this is not accidental.
“Many children lived in dullness, in aggression, misunderstanding, drunkenness and all sorts of domestic violence,” explains Alexander Petrynin. - In the center they are brought up by the environment itself. Everything here is arranged at home. Very nice modern kitchens where you can cook your own dinner.
The building was built with sponsorship money, it is 200 million rubles. Furniture and interior decoration, except for crystal chandeliers, is already budget money. The center has not yet moved into new walls. They live in two houses. And the house should be alone. But only now money has been allocated for kitchen equipment. As soon as it is purchased and installed, children can live here. They are equipped with sleeping rooms, none of which repeats in color and design. The second stage is the construction of workshops and a gym, which was postponed for many years. The project is ready, it has passed the examination. Alexander Petrynin hopes that in the near future the money for this construction, which is so necessary for the center, will be allocated. After all, children in the center receive, in addition to education, a profession - turner, locksmith, tailor, auto mechanic. Distinguished guests who came to the holiday presented the teenagers with certificates of professional education.
“Our task is to create conditions under which the child would solve his problems himself,” says Alexander Petrynin. - If he lives on everything ready, he does not know how to work, does not know the value of money. Children come to us who have problems with the law, but only three percent of them end up in prison. This is an excellent result, although it is also sad, because the fate of every child in trouble is a tragedy.
The center is 28 years old, over the years 1,700 people have graduated from its walls.
- We want the children to grow up and get higher education, - said the acting director. Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government for Social Issues Yevgeny Nikonov. - We are ready to consider the possibility of targeted education of children, accompany them in the future, so that they remain in the Khabarovsk Territory, create families, raise children, and be successful in life.
