The villagers built a playground with their own hands.
In the villages of Kirovo and Usatovo, Krasnokutsk District, with a total population of almost 2000 people, there has never been a civilized place for families with children. The residents decided to take the solution to this problem into their own hands. They chipped in and got to work. According to Galina Tkacheva, head of the Usatovskiy municipal formation, the villagers have raised the question of where to rest for children more than once.
“On weekdays and weekends, many children are left to their own devices,” says Galina Mikhailovna. - This problem is especially relevant in the summer, when there are no classes at school, and children come to the villages to relax with their grandmothers and grandfathers. In addition, a day camp for children from disadvantaged families opens on the basis of schools in the summer. They certainly have something to do in their free time. On the site near the educational institutions there are sports facilities: wall bars, logs. Snake, you can drive the ball on the football field. But if teenagers can do at least sports, then preschoolers could only walk near their home. As they say, from the gate to the dam.
The expenses for a new playground, which cost several hundred thousand rubles, turned out to be exorbitant for the rural budget. The regional program of support of public initiatives helped. Residents decided to invest money in the improvement for the sake of children, although Usatov and Kirov are full of other problems: unrepaired roads, street lighting.
“The total cost of the work is more than 300 thousand rubles, 75% of these expenses were covered by the regional budget,” the officials explained. - 25% of the estimate was paid by the villagers themselves.
Evgeny Medvedev, a resident of Usatov, has three daughters. The youngest is only five years old. According to the father of many children, there are many families in the village where several children are being brought up. In order to take the kids for a walk, mothers often had to ask the head of the kindergarten to let them into the territory of the preschool with strollers. Here, on a small playground, you can play with children in the fresh air.
- The location of the future recreation area was determined immediately, without disputes, - says Evgeny Medvedev. - This is an old square, which was laid out in Soviet times. There were no attractions here, only a small stage for discos.
The villagers did all the installation work with their own hands. After the announcement of tenders, the supplier only delivered the swing, slide and carousel to the site. And then the dads took up tools and welding machines.
“A group of activists leveled and concreted the site,” says Sergei Shvankov, a resident of Usatov. “Others welded the hedge.
Next year, the villagers expect to set up flower beds in the park and make a fence around it so that the cows do not eat trees and grass.
