Family vacation turned into a tragedy on the Uen River in the Tomsk Region. One of the three children was in the water and hit the boat's working propeller. At the same time, minors were under the supervision of adults - the mother and her partner.
According to preliminary information, five people from Tomsk went to one of the tourist centers on a boat, which they rented for sailing along the Uen River. The family left on May 22 in the afternoon, and decided to return in the morning of the next day. At the same time, before leaving, the woman and the man drank alcoholic beverages.
As a result, the man could not cope with the control of the watercraft, which led to a change in direction: one of the children on the boat fell into the water and fell under the working propeller of the engine. The child was seriously injured, he was handed over to doctors. However, it was not possible to save the minor.
Now the man is accused of violating the rules of traffic safety and the operation of internal water transport in a state of alcoholic intoxication, resulting in the death of a person by negligence (part 2.1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The criminal case with an approved indictment was sent to the Kozhevnikovsky District Court of the Tomsk Region.
