
Izhevsk. Udmurtia. Two groups will represent Udmurtia at the district stage of the "Theatrical Volga Region" festival. According to the press service of the head and government of the Udmurt Republic, a total of 82 video applications from 65 groups - 58 children's and 24 youth performances - were submitted to the competition. Among the participants there are creative groups of cities and districts, including 5 inclusive theaters from Izhevsk: the Nadezhda theater and the creative studio Talking with Heart from Boarding School 15 for children with disabilities, an inclusive group of the Bird Theater, Fruits theaters School 53 and "Alice" school 77.
Based on the results of the competitive review, the regional jury determined the best projects. In the category "Children's theater groups and studios" the victory went to the theater "Tochka" of the Center of theatrical art "Tochkin House" from Sarapul. The play "A Little Story" directed by Artyom Sergeev is staged in the genre of spiritual clownery. It is based on the story of a little man who dreamed of becoming free. Within an hour, the creative team reveals to the viewer that a living, vulnerable soul is hidden behind the clown's mask.
In the category "Youth theater groups and studios" won the experimental theater studio "Golden Key" of the Palace of Culture "Yubileiny" from Votkinsk. The fairy tale performance “Once upon a New Year's Eve” directed by Marina Khotimskaya will be of interest to children and adults. The performance teaches the younger generation about goodness, love and a sense of compassion.
These two theaters will represent Udmurtia at the district stage of the Theatrical Volga Region festival, which will run until February 2021.
