For the visit, the heads of the two regions chose a camp in the Shchelkovsky district of the Moscow region. In the first shift, and it lasts 21 days, 315 children have already rested here. Most of them are residents of the capital. In what conditions the kids are gaining strength for the new school year, Sergei Sobyanin and Andrei Vorobyov just saw. First, they examined the dormitory and the medical center, and then, in an informal setting, met with the resting children. We heard their impressions of the camp and discussed the match of the Russian national team with Egypt, made predictions for the next meeting with Uruguay. After some discussion, we decided that our footballers would celebrate the victory. The sports theme was continued already on the football field, playing against the counselors for the children's team. Vorobiev came out in a T-shirt under the number "50", and Sobyanin - under the number "77". In memory of the mini-match, both signed the soccer balls. And they promised to fulfill the children's request: to create a workout area.

Sobyanin and Vorobyov agreed to develop the infrastructure of health camps further. "There are about a hundred summer camps in the Moscow region," the regional governor said. "Our task is to make sure that everything is organized at the proper level. Moscow buys vouchers, which helps not only maintain the camps, but also develop them." The capital, added Sobyanin, annually buys about 200 thousand preferential vouchers, about 30% of them - for recreation in the Moscow region.

- Organization of children's health-improving recreation is a responsible business, in which there are not and cannot be trifles, - the Mayor of Moscow emphasized. - We will, together with the Moscow region, deal with the safety of children in the camps, coordinate the trips of organized groups. We will make sure that the guys have a rest in those camps that have all the permits.

This year, according to the capital's mayor's office, 150 thousand children will have a rest at the expense of the budget. For example, "Mosgortur" sends children to 46 health camps. They are located not only in Moscow and the Moscow region, but also in the Kostroma, Tver, Arkhangelsk regions, Stavropol and Krasnodar regions, Chuvashia, Crimea and Belarus. Several thematic programs with master classes and outdoor games have been prepared for children. They are designed for the entire shift, that is, for 21 days.

Members of tourist teams go on hikes, and novice researchers take their first steps into science, participating in quests and projects. The creative session included classes in choreography, acting and journalism. Students of the military-patriotic program go through the "seven steps of courage", gradually acquainting themselves with the basics of military training, the history and geography of Russia. The sports shift against the background of others is distinguished by the mass of events dedicated to a healthy lifestyle.

The city summer camps of the "Moscow shift" are also continuing their work. They are open free of charge to schoolchildren from 7 to 14 years old in 247 organizations - general education schools, sports schools, institutions of the Department of Labor and Social Protection. Children go to museums and theaters, participate in sports tournaments, attend master classes. By the way, Moscow museums, Sobyanin reminded, are free not only for Moscow schoolchildren, but also for all children vacationing in camps near Moscow.
