BEIRUT, Dec 10 - RIA Novosti, Mikhail Alaeddin. The international exhibition "Children Draw the World" has opened in the building of the Russian Center for Culture and Science in Beirut, Olga Makarevich, organizer and coordinator of the exhibition in Lebanon, told RIA Novosti.

"The opening was wonderful. Adviser to the Minister of Culture of Lebanon Nizar Dager visited the exhibition and made a welcoming speech, as well as the wife of the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Elena Ivanovna Zasypkina. 59 drawings from Lebanese children were presented. The exhibition totals 3.5-4 thousand drawings. the exhibition "Children paint the world" Alexander Borisov transferred 400 original drawings of children from Serbia, Beslan and Donbass to Beirut, "Makarevich said.
According to her, similar exhibitions in 2017 were held in Italy, Ireland, Bulgaria. On Friday, December 8, the exhibition opened in Berlin. In total, more than 25 exhibitions were organized in Europe and the CIS countries during the year.
"The idea of holding an exhibition in the Middle East did not arise by chance. Lebanese know firsthand what war is," Makarevich said.
The first exhibition "Children Draw the World, or Protect Us from Nazism and World Terrorism" was opened on November 9, 2016 in the city of Krasnodon (the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic) and is timed to coincide with the International Day against Fascism.
