Within the framework of the forum, a round table meeting was held on the issues of patriotic education of children and youth. Denis Davydov, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Young Guard of United Russia (MGER), noted that illustrative examples of courage and heroism play a decisive role in the education of patriots:

"These children, who have come to the forum today, are an example for the younger generation. We need to tell others about them in class, through the media, the Internet, whatever. One of the main tasks that we set when preparing the Forum of Little Heroes" is to tell stories of children, to attract the interest and attention of the public, peers to them. It is worthy examples, not fictional, but real, that best educate. Personally, such children and their actions cause a feeling of pride in Russia and confidence in the future."

Also, the leader of the Young Guard, Denis Davydov, came up with an initiative to establish a special award for children who performed a feat.

According to the Young Guard, such a measure will promote the popularization of the correct values and the correct attitude towards the people around young people. In addition, the guys who have shown bravery for the sake of saving other people deserve an advantage when entering secondary specialized and higher educational institutions.

"In Russia, 1,051 people were awarded the highest state award - the title of Hero of the Russian Federation. The Order of Courage, according to the latest data, has been awarded more than 100 thousand times. At the same time, we know of only two cases when children were awarded them, unfortunately, both Zhenya Tabakov and Danil Sadykov received his award posthumously."

Davydov believes that it would be correct to institute a special state award for minors who have shown courage and heroism in saving others. This will not only pay tribute to the children-heroes, but will also contribute to the dissemination of the right values and the right attitude towards the people around young people. "In addition, we believe that children who have accomplished the feat are worthy of support from the state, which should be manifested, including in the form of preferential conditions for admission to educational institutions," said Davydov.

Heroes of the Fatherland Day (or simply Heroes Day) is a memorable date that has been celebrated in Russia annually, on December 9, since 2007. According to the initiators of the holiday from the ruling United Russia party, we are talking about the restoration of the holiday that existed in pre-revolutionary Russia - the Day of the Knights of St. George, which was celebrated on December 9. In addition, 17 Days of Military Glory are celebrated annually in Russia.
