Today, November 18, at the intersection of Michurin and Kholzunov streets in Saratov, a 79-year-old woman fell into a pit about four meters deep, the regional rescue service reports.
“The rescuers of the regional and city rescue services who came to the place with the help of mountaineering equipment removed the pensioner, transported to the regional rescue vehicle and hospitalized it to the hospital with moderate injuries,” the emergency service was told.
The company "TPlus" clarified that on this site the contractor carried out repair and restoration work on the quarterly heating networks transferred to power engineers by the concession agreement from the Saratov administration.
“The trench was fenced off with a safety net and warning signs were posted. The contractor will provide assistance to the victim. A commission has been set up to investigate the circumstances. Power engineers once again draw the attention of city residents to the safety near the work sites and ask them not to enter the fences,”said TPlus.
