Digital technologies have brought into our lives not only convenience, but also negative aspects, which so far can only be assessed by a few specialists in the field of psyche. The big question is how the future generation will grow up, brought up on gadgets and the complete lack of control over what they watch on the net. But many parents do not even think about how they injure their children, taking them with them to the cinema beyond their age and without restricting access to the Internet.
Recently I went to the cinema for a session of the picture “Policeman from Rublyovka. New Year's chaos ". The point is not in the plot of the tape and not in the intimate vicissitudes of the life of the main characters, although it is extremely interesting to watch them. As everyone knows, any information product is subject to age classification in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation, which sounds quite weighty: "On the protection of children from information that is harmful to their health and development." It seems that both the law and the qualification appeared for a reason, but have certain grounds. So that's it. At the beginning of the picture, a group of adults entered the hall with a rather small child - about 7-8 years old. The age limit of the picture that began is 16+. A logical question arises: what does a junior schoolchild do during a film session, to which he is not 8 years old? Okay, the supervisors don't care what the child is watching (although, for sure, responsibility for this is also spelled out in the law), but why don't parents care about this, to put it mildly?
Several years ago, the chief psychiatrist of the Ministry of Health Zurab Ilyich Kekelidze made a couple of rather shocking statements. Firstly, the doctor is confident that by 2020 depression will come second after cardiovascular diseases. Secondly, according to 2015 data, 60% of preschoolers and 70-80% of schoolchildren have mental disorders and developmental anomalies. And in 40% of primary school students, school maladjustment is registered.
What is the connection between cinema and the chief psychiatrist, you ask. At first glance, none. However, if you turn off the TV with the next talk show and pick up a book, for example, on developmental or child psychology, the connection between these two facts becomes obvious. The psyche of a child is different from the psyche of an adult, a child is not a reduced copy of a 40-year-old, it is high time to forget about it. Children are impressionable, sensitive, each age has its own activity and its own information (not from the cradle it is customary to tell in paints where they come from). Considering that we already live in an age of an overabundance of information, why should an immature psyche need something that can harm it? World psychologists have already started talking about a diagnosis that can be given to almost everyone - digital dementia. I must say that this name sounds rather soft, even aristocratic. But the famous psychologist Andrei Kurpatov in his books is less delicate, using the term "informational pseudo-weakness". In fact, a person is healthy, but only he has no reason to develop his brain - everything is chewed on him on the screen of the gadget. And all of us, unfortunately, already suffer from this, each in its own measure.
Not only do children, like adults, suffer from an overabundance of information pouring from each iron, but also parents voluntarily or thoughtlessly do not limit what really traumatizes the child's psyche. This is the lack of parental control on the Internet, and watching films, programs that will scare the baby and leave a mark for life. In my environment there is a 19-year-old girl who, at the age of 8, caught my mother watching the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley". And she entered just on the scene of the murder in the boat (whoever looked, understands what it was about). Of course, she was very scared, but her mother did not even think to turn off the TV and calm her daughter. Moreover, she laughed that she was such a coward. Even after many years, this picture stands in front of the girl's eyes, makes her whole body grow cold and fall into a stupor. Now this person has mental and social problems. Of course, this is not the only reason, but no one knows what triggers a mental disorder. Many parents consider it normal that children 9-10 years old watch adult content, including films with a very large peppercorn, thereby making their children neurotic and condemning them to sexual dysfunctions in the future. It is understandable, it is easier to give a child a tablet, at which he will sit silently at least all day. At the same time, the parent is calm - the child is under control, does not hang out on the street, and will not get into bad company. However, mental health is part of the whole concept of health, and without it, your child will be inferior.
The statistics of suicides among adolescents is growing rapidly, the number of mental disorders is also. And how did the cases of attacks on peers and causing harm to them, up to death, become more frequent? And children learn this not from their parents, but on the Internet, in movies or bloody games. Maybe it's worth putting away your phone and wondering what your child is watching right now? Will he not have time to watch an 18+ movie, learn about sex or play a shooting game? But not now, but in 10 years, when his nervous system will be stable, stable and ready to receive, filter and digest information.
