The State Duma proposes to make the courses of counselors at pedagogical universities compulsory so that random people do not get to work in children's health camps.

In addition, legislators are thinking how to make the register of camps as open as possible for parents and register there the characteristics of each institution, right down to the menu to change.
Elena Vtorigina, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, told Parlamentskaya Gazeta about this on the eve of an expanded meeting scheduled for November 9 and dedicated to improving legislation in the field of children's recreation, their recovery, as well as the results of the 2017 summer health campaign.
“In the region that I will represent - the Arkhangelsk region, such results have already been summed up. And they are disappointing, there are many problems. First of all, this is the underfunding of the camps, and just their closure. In the Arkhangelsk region, 9 camps were closed last summer. I understand that the regions here are not on an equal footing, and somewhere the situation is better, but the closure of the camps is an omission of the authorities. And the federal authorities should help the regions and municipalities in this matter,”said the deputy.
Vtorigina believes that it is imperative to legislate the limitation of overpricing for enterprises that supply baby food to health camps.
“In general, 80 percent of the children in my region have a rest on the playgrounds at schools. The regions do not have money for the construction of new camps and for the repair of those of them that are already several decades old, "the parliamentarian said.
For this, Vtorygina emphasized, it is necessary to lay the appropriate amendments to the budget for 2019-2020, since the budget for 2018 has already been finally formed.
Officials from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Public Chamber, as well as the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova are invited to the extended meeting.
“All together, we need to understand how to make the rest of our children safe, interesting, bright and affordable for parents,” concluded Vtorigina.
