A man from the English city of Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, paid child support for 14 years to a girl he believed to be his daughter. During this time, he paid the ex-wife 38 thousand pounds (more than three million rubles). But in the fall of 2019, the man found out that the girl was not his child: he was told by her mother.
I could spend this money on my children … But most of all I am upset by the fact that I loved this girl with all my heart and did literally everything for her, - said the man in an interview with Hull Live.
The Briton reported this to the services that control the payment of alimony. He wanted to withdraw alimony from himself. Officials took this into account, but said that despite the new circumstances, the man must pay the two thousand pounds owed to the child. The man noted that he did not understand where the debt came from if he paid everything properly.
The man said that he has two minor sons with disabilities, because of this he does not work. However, this argument did not work. He was offered to do a DNA test for relationship with the girl, but the child's mother refused to do it.
The journalists promised their father to help resolve the debt issue.
