Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Anna Kuznetsova proposed introducing lifelong administrative supervision of pedophiles. This was reported on Tuesday, March 14, by RIA Novosti.

“We propose to introduce lifelong administrative supervision over persons who have committed such acts, as well as a ban on any form of communication of these persons with minors within the framework of administrative supervision. In addition, we advocate the creation of a register of persons convicted of such crimes, in order to strengthen control over them,”said Kuznetsova.
According to the Children's Ombudsman, the number of crimes against the sexual integrity of minors has been steadily increasing over the past five years. Over the past year, the increase was 40 percent. In 2016, more than 12 thousand such crimes were committed, while in 2012 there were less than nine thousand.
In February, a member of the Federation Council Elena Mizulina promised to submit to the State Duma a bill that toughens punishments for sexual crimes against children up to life imprisonment if the offender is a person from the close circle of the child, for example, his relative or teacher.
At the end of 2015, a member of the Federation Council Anton Belyakov proposed to oblige pedophiles to wear electronic bracelets for life.
