Two-time Olympic medalist, two-time world figure skating champion Irina Slutskaya told how she became a mother of three children, despite the doctors' predictions.
"You are unlikely to ever have children." In 2003, when I was diagnosed with vasculitis, the birth of children was in question. But I decided to grab the only chance I had and try to the last. Moreover, medicine sometimes works wonders. I even thought about going to IVF. A lot of options and fears were spinning in my head at that time.
But God gave me all three pregnancies, which passed easily, practically without toxicosis. I enjoyed the pregnancy, although many say it is a burden. Moreover, it is so interesting now! When I was carrying Artyom and Varya, there were no such technologies as now, and 3D ultrasound was a novelty.
In my third pregnancy, I with great pleasure installed a calendar on my phone and watched every week how the baby grows inside me, what happens to him when he has arms and legs. Feeling life within yourself is a great gift. The truth is that when an adult woman is carrying a child, it is completely different.
Of course, the moment a child is born cannot be compared with anything else. Therefore, I wish everyone who wants a baby, who is already waiting for a new person, to find this happiness. I did it, you can do it too! - Slutskaya wrote on her Instagram page.
