Leading experts in the field of oncology and hematology exchanged experience at the II International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of acute leukemia in children. The event was supported by the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region. The purpose of the conference is to improve the level of professional education of doctors in the Sverdlovsk region.
Oleg Averyanov, the chief physician of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital 1, opened the event with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of a common contribution to the treatment of children with hematological diseases and the exchange of experience with Russian and foreign colleagues.
“Our children's oncology center is one of the four largest centers in the Russian Federation, engaged in modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of children according to national and international protocols. Correctly taken vector of development and assistance to children on the basis of a multidisciplinary hospital with the involvement of a wide range of specialists helps to achieve good performance indicators, which we will share with colleagues,”said Oleg Averyanov.
The event included lectures by leading pediatric hematologists-oncologists from Russia, as well as from Germany, USA, and Great Britain. Active discussions and exchange of views will contribute to the creation and further improvement of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases in children. The conference helped to form professional and friendly contacts with colleagues from various regions of the Russian Federation, near and far abroad. It helped to increase the international prestige of the Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology in Yekaterinburg, which has vast practical experience and worthy scientific potential. The international conference was attended by over 80 specialists in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology.
