Zenit midfielder Magomed Ozdoev, who was born in Grozny, does not remember his childhood years in Chechnya, because at a young age his parents transported the player to Ingushetia due to the military conflict.
- At a young age, before the start of the war, our parents transported us from Chechnya, so all childhood memories are associated with Ingushetia. I can say that I don't remember anything about Grozny.
- Did you leave early or when something has already begun?
- As far as I know, in advance - dad said that there were some assumptions, an unstable situation, so he took out his mother and children in 1994. For a long time, my grandmother did not want to go, until the last moment she thought that nothing would happen, so she left already during the war.
- Is war a forbidden topic in the family or did your relatives tell you something?
“Of all the grandparents, I only grew up with my grandmother on my father’s side - I listened to her stories, but for me they were always difficult, so I never talked about it,” Ozdoev answered. (Egor Bychkov).
This season, Ozdoev played 21 matches with Zenit, scored one goal and gave one assist.
