Doctors of the Primorsky Perinatal Center took an unusual birth. The woman gave birth to triplets and became a mother for the first time at 51. This was reported on the website of the Primorsky Territory administration.
The newborns, two boys and a girl, are now in a medical facility and receive the necessary care.
The largest child was a girl, her weight was 2400 grams. Boys were born weighing only 1480 and 2300 grams. “As befits a multiple pregnancy, babies need to get stronger before being discharged home - to gain weight and grow up,” - chief physician of the perinatal center Tatyana Kurleeva. The doctor also noted that modern medicine and medical experience helped many seaside women to endure pregnancy and become mothers even at a very mature age.
“To give birth at 50 is a very good indicator of a woman's health and skillful management of the pregnancy by an experienced obstetrician. I would like to heartily congratulate mom and the whole family on triple happiness. I wish them good health and success in everything,”- Tatiana Kurleeva.
The authorities decided to give families with triplets extraordinary vouchers to kindergartens in Vladivostok. The annual increase in the birth rate in the capital of Primorsky Krai is about a thousand newborns.
