Eight thousand children were born at the perinatal center in Naro-Fominsk in two years, said regional health minister Tatyana Mukhtasarova. Her words are quoted by the correspondent of "Lenta.ru" on Friday, June 28.
“This is the first of five perinatal centers built under the presidential program in the Moscow region. Thanks to the high-quality equipment and the professionalism of doctors, it is possible to save premature babies weighing 500 grams or more,”Mukhtasarova said.
She noted that in the Naro-Fominsk perinatal center not only pregnancy and childbirth are carried out, but also newborns are rehabilitated. For this, narrow specialists work in the medical institution.
In 2017, five perinatal centers were opened in the Moscow region with the support of the regional governor Andrei Vorobyov. All of them are equipped with modern medical equipment. Vorobyov has repeatedly noted that the authorities should pay close attention to issues of increasing the birth rate. So, on his initiative, from September in the regional maternity hospitals will give out gift sets "I was born in the suburbs." They will include hygiene products, clothing, a first aid kit, toys and bedding.
