Police continue to check on a peacock attack on a child at the Kaliningrad zoo. Recall that the bird pounced on a 2-year-old baby and scratched his face. As it turned out, this is not the only case.

This amateur video was sent to our editorial office by viewers. Its author is Ilya Gruzdev, a 10-year-old resident of Kaliningrad. She admits that she is now afraid of peacocks.

According to the boy, he did not come close to the bird - he kept at a distance of 5 meters. This is how he explains what the camera of his smartphone managed to capture.
Ilya Gruzdev, resident of Kaliningrad:
- When I started to shoot him, he walked around the tree. I stepped back a little, and he took and attacked me. I hit the fence hard and nearly fell.
The boy's mother, Evgeny Gruzdeva, is sure: her child could not provoke a bird. According to her, the story could have ended very sadly.
Evgenia Gruzdeva, a resident of Kaliningrad:
- Suddenly the peacock flew almost on his head. If it hadn't jumped back, the peacock would have hurt his eyes with its claws. The birds are aggressive. Therefore, when children come up, they start swooping down on them. My opinion is that they should be kept in cages.
Another case - a peacock attacked a 2-year-old baby and scratched his face. The story from the words of the grandmother has become one of the most talked about on social networks this week. The child's relatives never got in touch with the zoo. At the same time, they immediately went to the police.

- Previously, peacocks calmly walked along the central alley of the zoo. Such freedom is a worldwide practice. Now birds with luxurious tails have been closed in the aviary of the Kaliningrad Zoo.
So far, this controversial story has more questions. According to the director, the zoo is a place of increased danger. Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult. This is written in all the rules of conduct, on tickets and at the entrance to the zoo.
Svetlana Sokolova, director of the Kaliningrad Zoo:
- The picture, when adults take small children in their arms, give them food in their hands, and simply begin to thrust them into the open-air cage to wild, I emphasize, wild animals - this picture, unfortunately, is not uncommon. Sometimes I can't stand it, I say: if you want to risk body parts, why are you risking body parts of your children? Why aren't you sticking your own hands?
Now the police are checking the fact of the bird attack. And the zoo is its own investigation. Peacocks are still under house arrest. This season, freedom is definitely not shining for them.
